Peacehaven PFI

Peacehaven Community School demonstrates that the complexities of the PFI procurement process are not an inevitable barrier to the design of successful schools.

Peacehaven succeeds by establishing a basic design concept that works with the site, and unifies architecture and landscape. It concentrates on achieving simple, attractive spaces that support both learning and socialising in the outdoor environment. The school’s four courtyards create a diversity of outdoor teaching opportunities and provide both shelter from the school’s coastal location, as well as shade.
