In response to the position on the fjord and its islands our proposal was to flood the area around the Nobel Peace Building and create an area of still water with artificial islands to form a new public space.

The approach to the building provides a landscape that will extend the public realm. The landscape is further extended by terraces at upper levels providing views across the plazza and fjord. The language of the landscape is influenced by the hemi-borreal plants and the forms of Lichen, with the planting of the perimeter representing shifts in nature.
