Cultural Heritage Centre, Cambodia

Working with UK architects, Green Cube and Key Frame Visuals, Plincke have acted as lead consultant to develop a ‘gateway’ visitor management proposal for the temple complex of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia. ┬áThe proposals respond to the need to both maximise visitor access and understanding of the heritage asset; its cultural significance and vulnerability, but also to improve visitor facilities including toilets and a restaurant. ┬áThe proposal aims to balance conservation and visitor management alongside a strong business case to create a holistic solution to many of the current shortcomings of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
