The City Centre Campus is part of an extensive regeneration programme for Eastside, forming a centre for learning, heritage, arts and culture.
The landscape design plays an important role in the project promoting the connectivity and quality of the surrounding public realm. A key objective is the creation of strong links between the campus, nearby associated institutions and the wider urban environment.
The bold use of sculpture and lighting help to create improve site legibility and wayfinding. The project exemplifies sustainability and biodiversity. Sustainable design elements include brown roof habitats for endangered species, and green walls and roofs that improve water attenuation.
