Dr Christine Hodgetts

Consultant | Historic Landscape Advisor BA PhD

Christine has been working with Plincke since 1997; she contributes a critical insight into our portfolio of cultural projects including the preparation of Conservation Management Plans.

She has consulted with us on some 20-successful Stage 1 & 2 Heritage Lottery Fund applications and she is recognised as an expert in the field of historic landscape research and restoration.

As a lecturer in research techniques and palaeography at Warwick University, Christine combines her academic activities with working alongside Plincke’s Cultural Asset Management team on a wide range of projects that demand a sensitive approach to restoration or carefully considered intervention.

Christine’s ability to thoroughly research both the physical and social layers of a landscape enables us to propose change and adaption to meet new and changing needs with confidence during a project.

Her research and written work includes several archaeological reports, assessments of historic landscapes and a number of studies of Victorian and twentieth century parks, as well as eighteenth century designed landscapes.
