16.03.12 Plincke appointed for Fort Royal

Plincke has secured the appointment to prepare a conservation and restoration strategy for Fort Royal Park, Worcester. The nationally significant landscape, linked to the adjacent Commandery building, marks a turning point in English history. The park marks the site where the last battle between Royalist and Parliamentarian forces were fought on 3 September 1651, deciding the outcome of the English Civil War.

The commission includes an audience development and interpretation strategy to make this history more meaningful whilst regenerating the  park into a vibrant and well used green space at the heart of the community.
