9.12.11 British sculptures approved for Hangzhou

The first collection of sculptures from British artists selected by Plincke for an art experience centre in Hangzhou Province, China was approved today.  Plincke are coordinating the project on behalf of a Beijing development corporation.

We will be visiting the site early next year to supervise the installation of the pieces that includes works by Ben Barrell, Charlotte Mayer, Rebecca Newnam and Antonia Salmon.  Each piece explores the relationship between art, architecture and nature.  The centre is due to open in March 2012.
