The World Monuments Fund bi-annual survey of the cultural heritage sites most at risk has recently been released. 67 sites are listed, three in England that are most in danger from either the forces of nature or social, political or economic change.
Plincke’s cultural asset team has recently been shortlisted for another heritage site in danger: Delapre Abbey, Northamptonshire. The tender is for the preparation of a business case and marketing strategy for the Grade II* buildings, originally dating from 1145, which are on the English Heritage At Risk Register. The project has recently received a Stage 1 HLF grant towards an estimated £11 million programme of restoration.
